Ramjas violence: Kiren Rijiju joins Virender Sehwag and Randeep Hooda, hits back at army martyr’s daughter


Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has joined the controversy around the daughter of army martyr who lost her father in the Kargil war and took to Twitter to post a picture about it. Minister of State for Home Affairs in Government of India, Kiren Rijiju questioned the girl’s claims that it wasn’t Pakistan but war, that killed her father. Rijiju said that India never attacked any nation but was always on the receiving end of the hatred.
He posted a tweet saying, “Who’s polluting this young girl’s mind? A strong Arm Force prevents a war. India never attacked anyone but a weak India was always invaded.” He posted a tweet saying, “Who’s polluting this young girl’s mind? A strong Arm Force prevents a war. India never attacked anyone but a weak India was always invaded.” Rijiju also pointed out that so many people take shelter in India because they know there is no better place in the world than here. “Some people say they need Freedom in India. Listen to those people taking shelter in India after facing torture in neighbouring countries,” he added.

Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of Mandeep Singh started the campaign under #StudentsAgainstABVP. Kaur’s earlier video, which went viral in May, was where she said: “Pakistan did not kill my dad war did”. Reacting to her video former Indian cricketer Virendra Sehwag has commented, “Bat me hai Dum! #BharatJaisiJagahNahi.” Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda also applauded Sehwag’s reply.
In her Facebook status she wrote: The brutal attack on innocent students by ABVP is very disturbing and should be stopped. It was not an attack on protesters, but an attack on every notion of democracy that is held dear in every Indian’s heart. It is an attack on ideals, morals, freedom and rights of every person born to this nation.
